WHAT WE DO
Plan your outdoor Wedding or Private Event to be held within the 2-acre Williamsburg Botanical Garden. Enjoy your special day with a lovely venue for up to 30 guests, including all participants. The Garden offers a shaded green roof pavilion with adjacent patio and arbor, gorgeous flower beds, trees, and bushes including pathways that are perfect for romantic wedding photos at an affordable price.
The Garden is located within Freedom Park, a public park operated by James City County Department of Parks and Recreation. Both the Park and Garden are open every day of the year from 7 a.m. to sunset. Events may be scheduled as early as 9 a.m. and must conclude a least 1 hour before sunset. Please note that Freedom Park does not allow alcohol or smoking in the park or Garden.
As the Garden is located within a public park and cannot restrict access to park visitors, your Event Reservation does not give you exclusive use of the Garden premises. A Garden Representative will be present for your Event and will provide space for your Event by reserving the main patio and pavilion, placing appropriate signage at the entrance to the Garden to notify visitors of the Private Event, and notifying Freedom Park staff of the date and times of the event.
The maximum rental time is 3 hours. The Rental Fee as well as the Security Deposit must be paid at the time that the Reservation is booked.
Rental Fee for a Wedding or Private Event: $350 for 2 Hours or $475 for 3 Hours
Plus Refundable Security Deposit (See Rental Contract Requirements): $150
Please check the calendar for availability for your event. Please allow for a minimum of 4 weeks advance notice to allow us to coordinate volunteers for your special day.
