KEEP OUR GARDEN THRIVING
The Williamsburg Botanical Garden is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that depends on charitable contributions from our Community Donors, Members and Visitors to achieve our mission of Mindful Gardening to Preserve Planet Earth. We also welcome Volunteers to help support our Mission and Goals.
From the beginning, the Garden has been a nonprofit organization supported solely by our members, volunteers, and others in the community who understand and appreciate the value of public parks and gardens. We could not do what we do at the Garden without the hard work and enthusiasm of our volunteers as well as the contributions that we receive.
Even with an all-volunteer maintenance crew, we have substantial annual operating expenses which we must fund to continue to maintain the Garden. Financial support from our community and visitors is our primary source of this funding. The Garden is registered to accept donations from businesses and residents of the State of Virginia. Donations are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.
By joining the Garden, you are also showing that you want to stay engaged and be a part of the future of the Garden. This support by our community is well appreciated and also allows us to continue to provide educational programs at no charge.
There are numerous ways that you can Volunteer at the Garden! The Garden operates with the support and help of Volunteers; we have no paid staff. Simply put, without our Volunteers, there would be no Garden.
Our Annual Plant Sale is held in the spring for about a month or until all plants are sold. Have fun and buy the perfect plants for your garden!
