Winter is Prime Time for Pruning
January 20 @ 10:00 am - 11:30 am
Most (but not all*) trees and shrubs should be pruned during winter while they are dormant to invigorate the plant and encourage new growth in spring. The VCE Master Gardeners Pruning Team will explain the right tools for the job, demonstrate proper techniques, and show how to maintain your tools for years of service in the garden.
This annual session on pruning is always popular and we expect registration to fill quickly and spill over to a waiting list for 1 of the 48 seats available. Member Priority Registration: Members in good standing will receive an email no later than January 6th with the link for Priority Registration. Registration opens to the public at 9 am on Saturday, January 13. (Learn about membership and its perks.)
