Planting for Pollinators – Online Learn & Grow

May 27, 2020 @ 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Free

Pollinators are essential for food production and healthy ecosystems. One out of every three bites of food is a result of pollination. Due to loss of native habitat, it is increasingly necessary for home gardeners to plant nectar sources and host plants that support the pollinators such as bees, butterflies, and other insects.

Register for this Zoom session to learn about the best native and non-native plants to attract pollinators to your garden and how to support them.

About our presenter:  Adrienne Frank is a member of the Historic Rivers Chapter of the Virginia Master Naturalists and a dedicated volunteer at the Williamsburg Botanical Garden. She has been learning about butterflies for more than 10 years by participating in butterfly counts and collecting data on local butterflies, including host plants, behavior, and sightings. She coordinates the Annual Williamsburg Area Butterfly Count, which is associated with the North American Butterfly Association.
