BUTTERFLIES AND THE PLANTS THEY NEED

June 18, 2016 @ 11:00 am - 12:30 pm

BUTTERFLIES AND THE PLANTS THEY NEED – Freedom Park Interpretive Center, Saturday, June 18th at 10:00 a.m. ADRIENNE FRANK, butterfly enthusiast and Virginia Master Naturalist from the Historic Rivers Chapter, will help us learn how to identify local butterflies as well as when and where we might see them. In addition, Adrienne will teach us which plants are necessary as host plants and which are good nectar plants for the different butterfly species. Weather permitting, at the end of the program we will be able to observe the butterflies in the Garden. This is presentation is part of the Learn and Grow Educational Series sponsored by the Williamsburg Botanical Garden. The program is free, although a $5.00 donation to help the Garden grow is appreciated. Following the program, Master Gardeners will be in the Garden to answer questions and talk about what is in bloom. For butterfly questions, contact Adrienne at adrienne-gary@cox.net
