May 21: CREATING ENVIRONMENTALLY BENEFICIAL LANDSCAPES. Freedom Park Interpretive Center, 10:00 a.m., open to the public. Retired York County Extension Agent and Senior Extension Agent Emeritus, Jim Orband, will discuss the benefits of incorporating locally native plants and providing diverse plantings that include a variety of food sources for wildlife. Jim also can be heard answering gardening questions with Cathy Lewis on HearSay public radio, WHRV-FM, 89.5, on the third Thursday of the month from noon to 1:00 p.m. His Freedom Park presentation is part of the Learn and Grow Educational Series sponsored by the Williamsburg Botanical Garden.
